UPDATE - NOVEMBER 2008

It has been brought to our attention that a company called Expo Guide based in Mexico has written to a number of our exhibitors offering a listing in their exhibitors' directory. The letter comes with a listings form which mentions the show name Glee Birmingham or Glee Petindex and the organiser as ourselves, EMAP TPS.

Please note that Expo Guide is in no way affiliated with Glee, Autumn Fair International, Spring Fair International, EMAP Connect or EMAP Ltd, or as we were previously known EMAP TPS.

Update re FAIRguide.com and Construct Data Verlag

FAIRguide.com is promoted by Construct Data Verlag, an Austrian-based company that regularly publicises services to exhibitors at European and worldwide events.

Exhibitors receive a form which makes reference to the show and the organiser, and invites them to sign and return the form for an entry in an on-line directory. A signature on the form contracts the purchaser into a three-year, non-retractable agreement of 1171 euros per year.

Please note that neither FairGuide.com nor Construct Data are in any way associated to Emap Connect or any of our events. Their form should not be confused with the official catalogue entry forms for our events, all of which are managed online through our show guide publishers TGCMC. All correspondence is fully branded with the show logo and official contacts.

 Exhibitors should NOT complete the form without reading the small print thoroughly - it ties them to an order for advertising over 3 years and is not a free entry.

 If you have completed and returned the form, then you will be invoiced and chased for payment.  You are likely to receive letters, faxes and phonecalls of an increasingly aggressive nature. You may also be offered a payment plan or a reduced price to exit the contract early. 

 Should exhibitors wish to dispute the invoice and withold payment it will be helpful for them to know that in all the years of FairGuide activity there has not been one case brought to court by FairGuide for non payment, despite repeated threats.
 
 There is ongoing court action against FairGuide/Construct Data in Austria regarding misleading advertising.
