Glee highlights positive growth signs for 2010 show

Glee organisers have confirmed that the show’s continued efforts to deliver a more focussed, relevant and cost effective event has already yielded exceptional results.  Sales of exhibition floorspace for Glee 2010 are over 20% higher than those achieved at the same time last year, with the show’s dedicated Garden Care sector witnessing a significant 40% increase in sales compared to 2009.

Glee show director, Daniel Thurlow
said: “Since Glee 2009 we have introduced several initiatives to ensure that Glee is the most effective show for the industries it represents – in terms of both cost and value.  These have been popular and sales of exhibition floorspace are currently running ahead of where we were this time last year.  Our strategy to grow core gardening - which represents one of the key draws to the show for retailers and buyers – has clearly gone down well!

“We have also worked hard to ensure that the show continues to deliver innovation at every step, and already we have witnessed a strong response to this.  The 2010 show has booked over 50% more new companies compared to this time last year – meaning Glee’s proposition to offer something that cannot be seen anywhere else is strengthened even more for the 2010 show.

“Leading brands are also an essential part of Glee and we believe it is vital to capture as many of these as possible.  Glee 2010 is already home to a number of companies that did not attend during recent years, and we expect to see this figure increase significantly over the coming months as Glee’s offering continues to grow even stronger.”

Leading brands who have already confirmed their attendance at Glee 2010 includes garden care companies such as The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, Sutton Seeds, Gardman, Bosmere, Westland Unwins, DLF Trifolium (Johnsons Lawn Seeds) and Garland.  The Landscaping sector will be represented by key brands such as Forest Garden, Grange Fencing, Haddonstone, M & M Timber, Jagram, Grange Fencing, Finsa, Kelkay, Deco-Pak and Living Stone.

Glee Leisure will also be showcasing dozens of leading names, showing everything from the latest garden furniture to barbeques, chimineas and spas.  Exhibitors confirmed so far includes Norfolk Leisure, Rondeu Leisure, A.Mir & Co Ltd, Calor Gas Ltd, Marvell’s, Premier Decorations, Bellagio UK and Landmann UK.
