Seek editorial coverage
During June/July consider preparing and issuing a 'preview' news release (with images) to relevant trade media broadly outlining what you will be doing at the show. The editors can consider this for inclusion in a pre-September issue, or in their Glee Preview issue if relevant.
When it becomes available, check your Exhibitor Manual for a list of trade publication contact details and a list of the magazines that are running specific Glee Previews.
NB Please also send your Glee Preview news release to our Press Office team at firstname.lastname@example.org so they can stay aware of your plans and involve you in Glee's main PR programme in some way. (The Glee Press Office team will also forward every preview release they receive to the relevant trade editors, so if you don't have time to issue your release to all those editors yourself, don't worry, the media will still receive it).
Plan any special on stand events
To gain extra media and visitor attention during Glee you may wish to consider holding a product 'reveal', celebrity appearance, 'show-only' promotional offer or press conference/reception onstand. If you do plan a special activity of this kind, please confirm the details, date and time by 10th September to our Press Office team at email@example.com who will include it in our Press Diary for journalists visiting the show
Consider donating products to our VIP goody bags
We will be preparing goody bags to give to around 250 VIP visitors and journalists as they leave the show. If you would like to offer to donate some small product items to these goody bags (no vouchers, leaflets or news releases please) please email firstname.lastname@example.org. There is no fee to participate and no minimum number of products you can offer.
Plan your press packs
Around 200 trade and consumer journalists visit the Glee Press Office during the show. Make sure your news is displayed there to tempt the journalists to visit your stand! It is therefore worth starting to think now about planning the information and materials you want to include. There is no fee or reservation required for your press pack to be displayed in the Press Office. A quantity of around 30 packs is all you need.
