Pack Maped’s magic tablet for stress-free travel
Black Country based stationery giant Maped Helix has the ideal alternative to a traditional tablet for youngsters this summer.
Lightweight and portable, the Magic Tablet is an erasable LCD board which enables children to get creative and have fun when at home or on holiday.
There’s also no need for parents to worry about their children accessing inappropriate content or racking up enormous bills on in-app purchases, when using this innovative device.
Maped Helix marketing manager, Lianne Fletcher, commented: “Traditional tablets are always popular travel entertainment devices, but there are downsides.
“Firstly, you have to remember to pack the charging cable and adaptor, depending on where you’re going. Then of course you need to remember to unplug it and repack before coming home. It’s such an easy thing to leave behind!
“Our Magic Tablet doesn’t need charging and doesn’t require an airplane mode setting, so can be used as soon as children are seated on the plane and for the duration of the flight. It’s also ideal for use in the car or on the train.
“As well as enabling children to draw and play games, they can also use the tablet to practice basic maths and writing skills.”
Children use the stylus pen to draw on the screen and then touch the magic wand button to erase their work. Alternatively, they can lock the screen to keep their creation. The screen size is 12.2 x 17.3 cm and it is powered by one CR2016 battery (included). It is available for sale on Amazon for £15.95 (price correct at time of writing) and in selected retailers.
Maped Helix is based in The Black Country where innovative stationery has been created since 1887, most notably the Oxford Maths Set which has been used by children since the 1930s. Many of the company’s world class stationery products are designed to inspire and stimulate children’s creativity, such as the Maped Creativ and Color’Peps ranges.
