Protek are a family owned and run British manufacturing business based in Somerset. Our business was set up over 40 years ago with a vision to sell quality wood stains, decorative timber coatings and preservatives. As a result, we developed products that gave good coverage, were effective and long lasting, yet were kind to the environment. Whilst everyone else was using harsh and toxic chemicals, such as creosote, we developed our range using only water-based technology. It’s a value we have had since the business started….and we still live by it today.
Our water-based paints contain low or minimal VOC (volatile organic compounds), low in odour, and safe for children, pets, and plants.
