Kate Bradbury at GLEE05 Sep 2018
Kate Bradbury – award-winning author, journalist and wildlife gardener – will be making a guest appearance at the Hozelock stand at GLEE on Tuesday 11th September, 2018 to present an additional expert view on natural gardening and bees – two elements key to Hozelock’s activity for 2019.
Kate’s books include ‘The Wildlife Gardener’, which is now in it’s second edition, and most recently ‘The Bumblebee Flies Anyway’ which describes how Kate transformed an unloved urban garden in Brighton into a wildlife haven – reaching number 25 on Amazon book ratings. 20 signed copies will be available on a first come, first served basis for buyers who visit the Hozelock stand.
In 2015, Kate became the first Butterfly Ambassador for charity Butterfly Conservation and she regularly talks at events and festivals as well as on the radio. As a lover of bees, Kate is knowledgeable about their plight and supports the principles of Hozelock’s ‘Plant A Pot’ campaign which encourages gardeners to plant and care for bee friendly plants. By planting a container of bee-friendly plants and seeds and keeping it watered throughout the foraging season, gardeners can have a huge impact on the availability of bee food throughout the year.
With everything from the Pure Range including Sprayers, Kits, BioMix and the Bokashi Composter to the Green Power Thermal Weeder – Hozelock has everything you’ll need to look after your garden and help nurture the wildlife who visit whilst avoiding the use of potentially harmful chemicals.
Kate is a trained gardener who endorses the use of natural techniques and is well versed in the benefits of making natural feeds and compost using the Bokashi system.
