Mark Dawes

Mark's background is in food retail management, having been in the sector for 34 years from the age of 16, holding various roles such as Store Manager at International Foodstores, Buyer with a large independent food retailer in North Devon, Manager of a national award winning delicatessen and also regional management level at Lidl for 8 years.

Mark came into the garden centre industry in September 2015 as Dry Goods buyer for St Johns garden Centre in North Devon and within 4 months he had also taken on the role of Shop Manager. 8 years later and he is still doing both these roles - Mark adores the garden centre retail sector! Mark has attended Glee since September 2015 and enjoys talking to all of his suppliers each year and looking for inspiration for new products. Mark is a proud member of the steering committee, where he has opportunity to give something back to an industry that has meant so much to him over the last few years!
