The ITS Box is an intelligent alarm interface that enhances the capabilities of the Chirp Protect system by listening for alarm events and triggering automated responses. It can be configured for two distinct anti-theft applications - Tamper Alert and Exit Alert - allowing retailers to integrate Chirp Protect with CCTV, staff headsets, warning lights, access control and other third-party security systems for faster, more effective incident response.
ITS Box - Tamper Alert
The Tamper Alert configuration detects when a compatible Chirp Protect tag is tampered with or forcibly removed. Rather than relying solely on the tag's 90 decibel alarm, the ITS Box can immediately trigger CCTV recording, alert staff via headsets, activate visual indicators or initiate other automated actions, enabling staff to respond before a theft is completed.
ITS Box - Exit Alert
The Exit Alert configuration detects when a compatible Chirp Protect tag enters an alarm state after passing a Chirp Edge hub or leaving a Chirp Zone protected area. The ITS Box instantly activates connected systems such as CCTV, staff headsets, warning lights or other security devices, ensuring attempted thefts receive an immediate and coordinated response.
