Maximising Retailing on Mother's Day

Let's start thinking Mother's Day for 2019!

The days are getting longer, the weather is getting warmer; with one of the busiest retailing days almost upon us! Mother's Day or Mothering Sunday as it's more traditionally known, is falling later in the calendar on Sunday 31st March for 2019.

We're a generous nation, treating our mums a little more every year. Last year us Brits splashed out £600 million on Mother's Day, that's an increase of 3.4% compared to £580 million spent in 2017 according to Mintel.

Whether it's a relaxing, personalised or perishable gift, Garden Centre's are uniquely placed to not only offer great gifts, but a lovely day out for mummies. GTNxtra reported that last year was a record breaking Mother's Day weekend for garden centres. Focusing on restaurant services, plant and bouquet sales.
