David has over 25-years of retail experience and is driven by a strong focus on people, and a passion for retail transformation.

With senior roles held across a number of blue-chip retailers such as Currys and Homebase, David spearheaded successful digital transformation at both Argos and Pets at Home, driving record sales and profit.

Following 4 years as COO at Pets at Home, David joined Dobbies as CEO in July 2023 and during his two years in post has driven forward transformational change.

He’s demonstrated a commitment to building back a stronger business by appointing an experienced senior team, implementing a new strategic plan that is focused on expanding ranges and investing in stores to enhance the customer experience.

An ambassador for the Retail Trust, David regularly dedicates his time to supporting charitable causes, also sitting on The Retail and Hospitality Advisory Group of Pennies, an award-winning fintech charity with an important mission to protect and grow micro-donations.
