At UK Greetings, we create innovative, award-winning greeting cards, gift dressings and social expressions products, featuring many prestigious licences, for birthdays, life’s events, special occasions and those “saw this and thought of you” moments.
As a business, we are on a continuous journey to be as sustainable as possible. Partnering with leading organisations such as FSC to ensure our materials are sustainably sourced and the World Land Trust to offset our Carbon Emissions.
We currently manufacture the majority of our greeting cards at our Dewsbury site and are investing further in this facility with the goal to return all our greeting card manufacturing to the UK.
Over the past year, we have invested in some of the latest pieces of sustainable and efficient equipment in the greeting card industry, including new packaging machinery that will replace the traditional thin plastic film wrap on units of greeting cards, with a recyclable paper band. Additionally, we invested in machinery to transform the way we package our rolls of wrapping paper, eliminating the need for single-use plastic. This innovation removed two key plastic components: the plastic film and hanging tab; to be replaced with paper tear strip, which protects the product and eliminates plastic film, and a cardboard hanging tab.
